Hot air balloons

Just a picture from Flickr with some rights reserved. Interesting bit about it is that is taken in Pforzheim, Germany where I used to live. Every autumn there was this beautiful gathering of hot air balloons, rising to the sky through a layer of thin fog. Autumn colours, reds and yellows, and the smell of the autumn air... wet earth covered with dropped foliage. Sky crystal blue and cold. After hovering above the city they would disappear. And return in the late afternoon, floating on golden rays of setting sun. Watching them was such a joy. Probably something about flying or not being connected to the ground.
